I moved to Qatar about a year ago to work as a photojournalist for a small government agency, which was a huge change for me since I'd spent the three years prior doing it for the U.S. Army. When I got here I didn't know what to expect and eventually settled in the best I could. One weekend, a local friend took me out into the desert for a camping trip by the Arabian Sea and on our way out there we stopped at what used to be an abandoned military installation. I took out my Q, which is perfect for this type of stuff, and started shooting around until I found this wall. The textures were perfect and the sun gave it this orange glow that just amazed me. It looked quintessential of that moment, the area surrounded it and I suppose of my time there at the time. So anyhow, I thought I'd share that with you.

P.S. I know that we were supposed to post a link to the camera from Adorama, but it seems like the no longer sell the original Pentax Q model so I can't.
