What a great shot, well done, hats off to you on this one.
Hey, I don't need a translator for this one.
Yes, there are many wonders to behold on this side of the pond, though I'm sure the permanent caffeine high of this Vizsla made the mystical Chuckit powers more effective than normal.

I would be more than happy to do so. I use this technique called "cheating!"
It's all about burst mode. Turn off autofocus, set the focus to a certain distance away, and fire away when the dog nears the focal plane. I've found that somewhere between 1.3 and 3 meters is most effective, depending on how big the dog is. Afterwards, delete all the pictures that weren't in focus.
For the framing, I put the camera almost on the ground to get the dramatic perspective. Since I'm shooting up towards the sky, I use a full stop (+1) of exposure compensation to keep it from underexposing. I'm shooting blind here, so it's a combination of guessing, luck, and cropping. Mostly cropping. I generally aim forward and a little bit towards the side that the dog will pass me on.
I get a really high failure rate, but it's digital! Just delete the ones that don't work. Here's one more:
