Shot these earlier today with the SMC Takumar 135mm/F3.5.....I feel pretty bad with you guys posting all these nice pics and all I've good to offer up is some seagulls.

What are you talking about ? These are some nice shots . I like how the birds alternate their positions on the third shot .

Very nice, I'd be happy with some gulls to shoot.

The last one is a special one to me! I think we are so accustomed to see see gulls always against something blue (sky, water...), that it is so refreshing to see this gull flying low with a brownish field behind, almost like a falcon, don't you think?

It's a great series and well taken. The biggest issue with gulls is that they are so common. We can see them almost anywhere. But when you look closer they are actually very nice looking critters. A great thing about them is though they make very good practice subjects as well. If you can capture them while flying, you'll be ready when that Bald Eagle shows up!

great colours in the series and very sharp as well. Nicely done!!

Thanks for the comments!

I was actually more impressed with the way the Tak 135 handled the BIF pics (surprised to be exact). Those old Taks are a real dream to focus with...
