A walk along the riverside

Brisbane city. Taken early this morning. K100D Super. ISO 200. Pentax-A 70-200/F4.


Kangaroo Point Cliffs as seen from Brisbane CBD. 120mm FL, 1s, F9.5

Good stuff! I really, really like #2. The color gradients are outstanding.

The building really stands out unique. I think that building will show up even better with a ultra wide angle.

Well I went as low as 50mm (M1.7 & S/T 1.4) but liked these results the best. It was a matter of timing. Once the sun got a bit higher, the beautiful colours on the riverfront side of the building were lost, as least from where I was. Here's an example:


Pentax-DA 18-50/F3.5-5.6 AL Mk.II, ISO 200, 48mm FL, 1/350s, F11




Had a M28/2.8 but I didn't think to use it. I presume you mean 21mm FL in portrait orientation? It would mean moving closer. What advantage would it offer over a 50mm FL lens?

Some nice shots there - it is a very photogenic time isn't it for Brisbane - were you near Customs House for the last one?

Bill, I was right next to the Customs House, on Riverside Promenade, 570m (620yds) away from the Waterfront Place building for both shots.
