One last: Winter Morning Eyes
Posted By: Jonas B, 02-23-2007, 05:40 PM

As mentioned I think I need a brake. Before leaving I'll just post this thread.

Yesterday I noted that I haven't touched my DS for two weeks. It seems as I'm going with the Canon more and more. Hmm... feeling homeless... This post is probably the last one with DS pictures (it's a mix of DS and 5D pictures).

Some of you may remember a thread called "Out of Context Portrait". The picture showed there was taken from a series of "extra" pictures I have taken together with the more normal ones. I gathered most of these extra pictures, cropped them and put them together into this collage:

A larger version along with a few more normal portraits are here: Winter Morning Eyes
There is also a table showing gender and age of the victims.

I wish you all the best

Comments, ideas, bashing and such is always welcome. I'll check back here.

A bit startling when it popped up but I really like it. Very fun and dramatic collection.

First I was going to say I like it but at the same time it is a bit disturbing. Don't know what it is. Anyway it is very interesting not only from a photografic point of view but also what the eyes can reveal about the person.

Interesting hmmm.

I wonder what it is about eyes that people find disturbing. I find eyes to be quite interesting.

Here is a badly cropped picture of my own eye.

I found this series very creative and artistic.

A great theme and I like to second guess these people's state of mind as well

Quaffle: Great looking iris. How about a little Visine to get the red out?

Thank you Clarence,
I was a bit surprised by the effect myself. When half done I had another bigger version (for print, the web version is a hasty remake with a few pictures exchanged) and scrolled a bit. When scrolling the big ones the eyes/people came quite close in an unusual way. I'm happy you liked it.

Eyes are interesting, yes. All body parts are, coming to think about it but eyes are of course special. Your skin isn't that bleach I hope... "Bad" crop?

Thank you roentarre. That's a nice comment about an old idea I just wanted to try. All I asked where happy to donate their eyes for this.

ps, noone suffers from cancer this time, please report any other findings!

thank you for commenting Quaffle,
I used selective color on the eye, thats why my skin looks grey. I think its a bad crop because the eyelashes are cut off.
