An day in november
Posted By: Pål Jensen, 10-22-2008, 05:55 PM

In november, before the sun disappears for good during december this far north (no daylight), mid day sun is in fact a big red sunset! I set out to shoot this sunset. While waiting for the sun to set a bit lower, I spotted this scene close to where I had set up my tripod. I shot it quickly; forgot all about it. When I got the film back it took me by surprise. I took a few seconds until I recollected that I had shot the image at all. It was by far the best shot on the roll.

The landscape is colored red by the blood red sun.

Stunning scenery - great explanation, too.

Funny, but it's still October here. You Europeans are way ahead of us in North America.

Great shot Pal, you'd never guess it was a shot taken on earth.

Hope you don't mind me helping you out a bit with your English but A usually goes before consonants and An usually goes before vowels; A day, an Apple.
Exceptions to this are H and Y, technically you should use An but A is more commonly used now.

The lens distorts quite a bit. Plane of focus is spherical. "Needs" to be stopped down to F:11 to perform. Best aperture is F:13. A landscape lens; not an all round lens. The combination of the 45-85/4.5 and the 35/3.5 is significantly better. The 33-55 is comparatively light and portable though. And combined with the 75/2,8, weighting only 215g!, it makes an extraordinarily lightweight combination for medium format. However, I would like to own the FA 35/3.5 and the 45-85/4.5 lenses as well....
