Thanks to all, I do want to mention that the bug on the dandilion is actually a tiny spider and as I watched him, I could see he was weaving a web over the top of those seed floaters. You can kind of see it in this resized for web shot. He was smaller than an ant, and I have no idea what kind of 'food' is drawn to the dandilion but he was working furiously on it. In fact later in the day the wind had blown all the seeds off of it, except the area where his web was... Nature is very strange....
Originally posted by JMR Nice images. I had to check where you were from. Carolina. That explains the flowers. The second shot slowly grew on me. I went back and forth and finally noticed the ant. A bonus to be sure! This from a pro-fall guy, so there!

Actually it is northern cali... and we are having a really late fall here... the girls are still eating tomatoes off of the vines... but man we need rain!

I absolutely love that Dandelion seed puff with the bug.
Too cool.

Thanks Ray, shot about 4 shots of it and then the spider climbed over from the back. He came out so sharp in this shot that I had to post it.

Thanks James, I love the OOF area with this lens. Even up at F4ish it still has its own 'look'.
