macro, macro........

Preying mantis was shot sligtly further as the subject was huge, about 4 inches in length.... ready to strike when threaten....

Nice Marcus - I have not seen many pictures of a full parying mantis - great DOF.

Knowing that lens pretty well...for a 4" Praying Mantis you must have been back more than a meter...maybe a meter and a half?

Can't resist throwing in one shot through that same lens but quite a few miles away. I miss that lens something aweful and I have a very nice FA*200...which says a lot for that A*200.

Thanks Daacon, Its becos of the distance from the subject, more than a meter as the mantis itself is about 4 to 5 inches in length, greater DOF.

Ron, you were absolutely right. You knew the lens better than I do

Is there a grat difference between FA*200 and A*200 macro????? Hmmm envious of your lens
