Didn't realize the 55-300 was that sharp.

And I don't think the lens is that pricey, is it?

BTW, I think the first shot was taken with the Sigma.

The bird images are fantastic, trumpyman! I love the way you captured the sun in #4, and that orange sky is just beautiful. Very nice series here.

Ye the 55-300 is a gr8 lens nice n sharp when u get it rite,the croc photo is a heavy crop so not so good.

The first and second ones are great (Is this with the sigma)never realised that birds had rows of teeth on there tongue


I do have a soft spot for the siggy as I have one

That first one is bit scary. The duck looks frantic and scared. But it is well taken and tack sharp. And I like the second, creative and evocative crop. The third is also good, dynamic and sharp. Those Pelican sure do look surreal. I really like the 4th sunset (I presume) but I think you try to open up the shadows on the right side. And if you don't like my comments, you can feed them to the croc in the last shot! :-)
