South Luangwa NP, long series of photos
Posted By: tcom, 04-03-2009, 11:41 AM

Well, I am finally through sorting the photos.

I will post just one photo per posting, and leave enough time after each series to allow for comments, in order to not have too many photos per page.

Ready?

I left the macro lens at home and tried to make the closeup shots with the DA*300. The DA*300 does of course not replace a true macro lens, but flowers and bugs are not too small in Africa.

Awesome work again Dominique, I think the first one is outstanding and the stork with the reflection is spot on.

Dominique.. Like Gary said.. love the first one. This series is going to be fun. Great seeing wild life in the WILD and not a zoo. So much to look forward to. JIM

Thank you for the comments.

Yes, Jim, seeing true wild life in the wild is really different from a zoo. But in a zoo, you are sure to see something, in such a large national parc, you can drive for hours and not see a single animal, and suddendly you can have a herds of elephants in front of you.

Oh my god, the lion... They are all magnificent, but the lion takes my breath away.

EDIT: And the hippo!

Oh yes...The lion and the hippo. Captured at perfect moment with perfect framing. The lion also has insane 3d-effect.
