I suspect this is a relatively rare shot of a hummingbird with an open bill head on, as is the full extension of the tongue image? I've never seen any before, nor captured these sort of images before.
If you could choose 2 of the 4 images in these two posts, which ones would you pick? I am considering the two in the other post for Nature submissions at the Mid-America Symposium. I have other bird images to consider too.
