A New Pentax And First Pictures... · 05:43 PM

So...I bought this beautiful Pentax PC35 AF 35mm f2.8 Pocket Camera for $3.99 (CDN) and then I bought a roll of Likon ISO 200 Film for $1 and decided to give them a go together.

No..I'm not cheap, but I often find great deals on older cameras and film and still love to use film for my daily shooting.

Anywhere..here's some pictures from the PC35 AF:

Very nice results! I always encourage the owners of P&S cameras to treat them as serious tools and use them for other than snapshots. Your photos show once again that it is well worth doing!

The camera is just a tool in the hands of the craftsman and if these hands are skilled it doesn't matter much what tool they pick up. These are very nice images, thanks for posting them.

SteveBrot also has a good point - those little compact cameras are good tools in competent hands. IIRC, one Nat. Geo photographer dragged all of his MF gear to photograph some city nightscapes and first did and exposure with his little digital P&S... that image made the article...

You could fool anyone that you've used an expensive SLR. Especially with the first two pictures. I absolutely adore them.
