I was reading another site and there was this challnge to take action shots with your pentax/samsung camera.. so that got me thinking and i decided to try and capture my parrot yoshi flying towards me.
Now, i didnt realise how hard this was going to be, given that it takes her about 1 second to fly from one side of the room to me but luckily after some thought on the settings i managed to capture a good photo of her in only a few trys (it was nice of her to come when i called to!).
Minimum focus distance on my da*50-135, sigma flash mounted and bounced off the celling and fired by aiming the camera at her using the lens as the pointer instead of using the viewfinder (as having the camera to my face would have scared her off).
gx10 1/60, da*50-135 f2.8 @ 50mm f5.6, sigma 530 dg super.
I just wish my iso wasnt on 400 (no idea why as i normally keep it on 100), shot has been pushed around 2ev as it underexsposed i then pushed the background around another 1+ev and desaturated it a bit and then some selective blurring to reduce the noise a little (no cropping).
I hope you enjoy a different take on bird in flight and thanks for looking
