When the sky is like this, you just have to take your camera for a walk at lunchtime! The first shot is from Monday, the ones with the reflections are from Tuesday.

I am envious of three things:

1. You live in Scotland (that seems so cool to me)

2. On your lunch you are in a gorgeous looking place

3. Your skies look better than mine (yup just looked outside and mine looks like mud)

Argh!

Very nice shots... you'd win a monthly photo contest of who has the best looking sky.

I like the first one best, even though the ripples in the water eliminate the sky reflection. The others look just a touch oversharpened.

codiac2600 - lol! Skies like these are the exception rather than the rule in Scotland - I got soaked walking home a few hours after the last two shots were taken.

fletcherkane: I appreciate the feedback. These are amongst the first shots that I've 'shopped to any serious degree, so I may well have overdone it due to inexperience. I usually try to follow the 'less is more' principle, but it's difficult when the same photo looks washed out and dull in one monitor or browser and eye-popping in another.

Hi! I just love shot #1 and the sparkle from the sunlight in the top righthand corner. Such a rich blue sky! Very Nice shots, all of them. Cheers! Jayne
