We have just returned from a 3 week tour through Zambia.
Most of the time we have done walking safaris, which gives you a very different experience than sitting in a (save) car.
It has been a very intense experience.
I hope you enjoy the some of the pictures we have made.
Zambia is a beautifull country, in several areas you will not find any other tourists and there is an ambudance of wildlive. Since wildlive is not as used to humans as in Tanzania or Kenia, you'll need to work harder to find it and to approach it.
In these 3 weeks we have visited the:
- Kafue NP (Mukambi area and the Busanka Plains bush camp),
- South Luangwa (Kafunta and Kafunta Island Bush cam),
- North Luangwa (Kutandala bush camp),
- Livingstone.
We made +2100 photo's and almost 6 hours of HD video.
My standard setup was:
- K-7 & DA* 60-250mm combination, during daylight often complemented with a Kenko 1.5x TC.
- K10D & DA* 16-50mm.
Let's start with a few cats from the Kafue NP:
Leopard at night:
Lion at night:
Chetaahs:
Male lion (there were 4 males lying next to the road):
A cerval:
I'll put more pictures in responses to this thread.
