Nature Golden Eagle

I went out to the wildlife reserve near my home and got close enough to this Golden Eagle to use my Tak 200mm M42. Variable speeds, f8.0, K20D

Nice work... I've never been close enough to a wild raptor to use 200mm. What's your secret? A vest made of mice???

He saw me coming from a half mile off and didn't seem to mind. It took me about 45 minutes to cover the distance but finally I was almost 40 feet from him. I was very lucky.
