dad, get dressed...
Posted By: Gooshin, 10-21-2009, 09:26 PM

I dont have alot of pictures of my father.. life just turned out that way, in fact we have very little family photos.

i was over tonight to do some laundry as my washer broke.. and on the way there devised a small photoshoot in my head, all i had with me was the FA50 F1.4 and a sigma, but i made it work anyway

the colour balance is a weird mix that i have been working on lately, let me know if it works. [edit, if your viewing on a TN panel monitor thats not corrected chances are it will look like ass, it doesnt want to pick up the teal tint at all...)

all are done with flash,

iso 100, F2

iso 200, F2

iso 200, F2

iso 400, F4 (sigma)

Gooshin.. I really like the first image. I think the wine class adds to the image. The AW is different and that is what makes the image interesting. JIM

First one's a classic look from your old man.
Yeah, the bluish cast could be adjusted some.

Gooshin, on my calibrated MacBook display the WB looks fine - if you're in the Matrix.

yeah see.. its not supposed to be a blue cast, more of a teal cast.

i'll tone it down a bit later.

one thing that i found intresting is how the skin tones remain more or less neutral while almost every other colour gets skewed heavily.

Yeah, I see the teal but I can't really say I'm digging it. The shots are very nice otherwise, though.
