Some family shots from the holidays
Lens: 135 Camera: k20d Photo Location: Baltmore, MD ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/150s Aperture: F3.5

It's a fine lens for this application.
The images appear soft due to being attached to the post using the forum's JPEG compression software.
Be conscious of your framing - #1 has too much blown highlight in the background with redundant space, #3 would be better with the camera pointed down a little more to crop off more of the background from the top, and #4 has cropped off too much from the top and right.

But pleasing results nonetheless.

Thanks for looking, Ash. It is a wonderful lens for this kind of stuff: some think it's too long but, as you can see, I'm going for nice tight shots. I can't argue with any of your comments--and you're certainly right about their having been softened in transmission.

Just an experiment to try posting from my album as a way of preserving sharpness. It seems to work.
