He said its a dung fly, i am glad for the unshaven legs rather than a picture of it in its normal habitat .

Rense, that is a really nice fly macro. This is where a 50 mm shines, one would never get that DOF with a 100 mm. Thanks for posting it.

Very nice shot, the detail is stunning. You sure have gotten good at these types of macros.

Thank you Dave. No, this is an M-lens without A-setting....
You should see this thread for more info on the macro diffuser, especially post 65!

I was almost hesitant to join the throng Rense, but I have to say, that is a beautifully done Macro shot. Excellent.
