Great shot mate. How differently do you think it would have turned out if you used the K200D??

Well one, I dont think I would have gotten the shot in the first place with the K200d. The bug was on a small leaf which was blowing in the wind pretty intensily. The amazing viewfinder of the K-7 made it possible to quickly get the focus inbetween gusts of wind

My K200d has never given Jpeg's like these however. I could get the image to look like the above, but it would take a long time. The edit above was a 3 minute edit from open to save in gimp.

As a K200D user who wants to eventually get a K-7, maybe I shouldn't be talking to you 'bout this!
Thanks for the information though, interesting. I shoot in RAW all the time, but I suppose any time saving like you mention is a good thing.

cheers

Very nice macro shot. I see you're enjoying your new K-7. I never saw this bug before. Thanks for sharing.

Great details!
How did you attach M 50mm to Sigma 105mm? Some kind of adapter?
I'm just asking because i too have those lenses and it would be interesting to combine them.

Im willing to bet this is a similar katydid from your youth. When adult it will look like any other plain katydid. As a nymph however, it gets these incredible colors. This is why I love macro so much. One would never notice this absolutely amazing looking insect for what it really is, unless photographed at extreme magnification.
