and he knows nothing about exposure adjustment

The exposure is ABSOLUTELY different. In favor of Coolpix A...

I have only one question after such comparision - is there any sense in it?

I've used the GR for just two days, all I can say is that it's a wonderful little camera. The IQ is great for such a little camera.

Yes, the comparison review from above links doesn't do justice to GR due to different exposure and WB which are in favor of Coolpix A. A better controlled comparison review like what DPR did makes more sense IMO.

The fellow who did the comparison used the wrong RAW processing and that is why the WB and colour were off.

After looking at this review i feel more inclined to buy a K-01 despite it's size...With 1.01 i do expect better low light focusing than both Ricoh GR and Coolpix A..Also the price of K-01 is more intersting..Of course the K-01 is disconetinued..Thanks for the review..

Good review... reflects my thoughts pretty dang well. I fully agree that the AF for the GR in lowlight is less than awesome. I found myself switching to MF last night while walking around (and it is a different MF control scheme than my GRiii which took a while to figure out). But that is pretty much my only true "gripe" of the GR thus far. But snap-focus, as usual with the GR series, is just stellar for walk-around quick pass shots.

Really it's them and Blunty I pay attention too now. DRTV used to be good... but is now just such a mess...
