N°11 for me. Love the pose and attitude of the man and the shyness of the dog.
As usual, lots of wonderful images.

This photo has an intention. I find it a little casual even if it was posed.
You got it.l
Lovely.

All great. Nº 12 is my vote considering not only the great image, but the difficulty of the work of been there at the right time. (as one famous photographer said). ( Eisenstaed?)
By the way, and not willing to polemize, but me too think that any identification on the images should be avoided.
I managed 2 nation wide contests in my place with 1800 and 2050 entries each one (we are a small country) and the rules did not accepted any sort of identification but
the sender's data in a separate letter which was used by the manager of the contest to assign a number which was informed to the sender once the selection was made.
But those were days of expensive film and paper.
Greetings from Chile and please don't misunderstand me. It is only my humble oppinion and my english is not optimal.

Nº 5 for me. Has some special feeling.
I like the flow of the wings toward the lady as they are going to welcome and comfort her.
Great composition and lighting.

Nominated.
It was a little difficult to catch the "S" at first glance. I first looked at the giraffe searching for it and ... surprise , she raised her head after drinking and left an "S" trail of water drops in the air, Great
I don't remember who said " To take a great picture, you have to be in the right place in the right moment ", I would ad " and have a good dose of luck ".
And you were there.
Nice work,

I insist, nº 5 . Creative, simple, and it is a bridge indeed.
All photos are great but some are to postprocessed for my taste.

Contest rules: To avoid voting bias, please do not watermark your photos with your username (but rather with your real name or website if needed)Sorry, I don't understand this. No user name but real name if necessary? This is an incongruity. Isn't it supposed that entries in a contest should be anonymous to the voters and only the organizer may know the submitter's name ? I've organized 2 nation wide contests for our club which is affiliated to the Chilean Federation which is member of F.I.A.P. ( Federation Internationale de la Photographie and the submissions were known only by the contest director and by me.
But, since this is a private contest, the rules may vary.
So, according to this contest rules, the entry is O.K. Greetings:

I agree.
This is specially suffering in countries like mine, Chile, where Pentax is not officially represented.
Pentax should take care of it or they will be loosing market for their magnificent cameras.
In my country is all Nikon and Canon. When I talk about my Pentax , they all figure and remember a K 1000 and look at me as a rare bird - which more or less I am. (ha ha).
It is funny to look at their faces when I mount my USSR 300 mm TAIR with gun stock.
I have been using Pentax for more years than I would like to remember and after trying several digital I opted for a KS2 bought for me by my son in Hong Kong. Love it.
I already had a bunch of lenses for it. I suffer from L.A.S. ( lens acquisition syndrome ).

My vote for # 12
Number 8 and number 11 are the same pictures, but one is reversed. Isn't it against the rules?
I agree with Yoda Boy. To shoot many of them required patience, knowledge and hard work.
All very good photos and difficult to choose which to vote.
That is because my nominee is N º 12. I understand the location is named The Golden Fall and it is known that the golden effect is appreciated
only from time to time.
I've seen a picture taken from the lower front at distance, but can't figure the photographer location for this one. Great.
All very good photos and difficult to choose which to vote.
Congratulations.
Greetings from Chile.

I liked Nº 2 at first view but something in the sky doesn't fits me.
Vote # 5 . It is an old action film on itself. Feels movement and smells cole smoke. I can hear the wheels on the rails.

Good point, Froeschle, how can you teach a newcomer friend if you can't operate the aperture on electronic lenses to show him what happens? Not to say without DOF preview on camera.
A friend of mine called me to teach her a few tricks on her new and first DSLR and 3 lenses (because they were cheap) 2 days before travelling on hollydays.Thought she was joking. She never had a real camera!!!!!!!!, I told her to travel with the I Phone and take a course with a real teacher at her return.
OMG

#1 is my vote.
Patterns don't always mean symmetry. I was looking for something special and went a long time trough all images. They are superb, all of them, but the compossition, color, contrast, alignement and finaly the mood, drove me always to #1.
Congrats to all.

My vote is number 6.
All photos are great but this one show the power of nature in all its splendor and drama.
I have organized two national contests for my club and I agree, the images in a competition shouldn't have any identification.

Hi there:
Today I was searching for subjects to take some pictures and I found a bug in my KS2. Not a software or mechanical one, but a real one.
Some kind of little insect (1 mm I guess) was crawling on the focusing scereen.
Blowing gave no results, so I think it is wandering on the upper surface.
How a bug gets inside of the camera? And how do I get it out of there? Hope i is not laying eggs and produce an infection.
Greetings:
Oscar.

Thanks, Steve, I've reading about for sveral hours and realized that in my case it's no worth taking the time to do it specialy due the various issues involved, like shimming, erratic exposure etc.
First I'll go to the oftalmologist for new glasses, finish my macro bellows with tilt-shift and clean a sticky diaphragma on a 28-200 old Samyang.
By the way, is it worth a macro with tilt-shift? Not shure about it but it will show beautyfully on a shelf. HaHa.
Greetings
Oscar
