Yes, that should be an easy one for them. The optics in the DA*300 are fine, all they would need to do is put in a snappier focus motor and a focus limiting switch, and maybe an electromagnetic diaphram...and not price it out of the ballpark like they did with the K3 Mk iii.

Perhaps that sensor will also wake the camera out of sleep mode when you put it to your eye...that would be nice! I don't know how many times I quickly try to focus my K3 on a bird (using back-button focus), and nothing happens, then I realize the camera is still in sleep mode as I'm missing the shot.

I also leave the rear screen off to help extend battery life (except to review and menu's) and rely on the top LCD and viewfinder for settings. Besides, I find the back screen distracting if I leave it on all the time.

I would have to vote for #9...the lighting, sharpness, and detail are fabulous! The snow is nice, and the woodsy background brings out the white head and tail feathers.

One of a pair of broad-winged hawks that circled around in fairly close proximity. I was able to get a couple of decent shots as it flew by.
