Been cooling my heels on quarantine for a couple weeks. Dug my 1972 Datsun 240Z out of the back of my shop the other day for something to do.
Cleaned off 22 years of dust, dirt and spider poop. Now I’m cleaning overspray from when I painted my old Ford 8N.

Interesting little jet, the BD5J.
I have a shot of one back in 1981. Interesting note that this particular plane still has a valid airworthiness certificate, and is still flying.

In our beach house we also have two cats. And as you can see in this photo, they are so dangerous they need to be caged :)
The one in the photo is called Hamra which is red in arabic (our beach house is in Tunisia hence the arabic name). Jailhouse cat by Richard Oude Egbrink, on Flickr

I stopped looking at #7. IMO, what original thinking. Light manipulation is great to achieve, but compo is everything, again, like from The Good Wife, "in my opinion, your honor."

I had both and still have my K10D.
They indeed use the same 10M CCD sensor.
In old days one said that ooc JPEGs with the K200D would be better but this is easely solved by intelligent use of the menu.
The K10D is heavier but much more sturdy (magnesium body as the K5) and quick direct access to many knobs.
The Li-Ion battery of the K10D was of fantastic quality, mine is still working alright and yet, you get the same quality because all Sigma batteries up to the SD10 fit as well and are still in production (made in Japan quality!)
Very important difference:
K10D has the far superior viewfinder: Pentaprism 0,95x 95%!
K200D has just the inferior pentamirror (0,86x)
K10D: 2 control wheels
K200D: 1
Only (minor) advantage of the K200D is the LCD-size: 2,7". I had both cameras open: The built quality of the K10D is way way ahead. Far superior to the K200D!
The K10D was a masterpiece of engineering!
It is also famous for very high shuttercount. Every part inside is superior!
To have a K10D with that low shuttercount! What a gem!
Size: I found the K200D more bulky, the K10D aside of being slighty larger and heavier (which is minor, AA batteries are heavier than Li-IONs)
and I prefered the batterygrip of the K10D to that one of the K200D:

Here's a Q lens used on a non-Q body. Cross posted with the "Macro by any means necessary" thread.
Having reversed SLR lenses (prime and zoom), and movie camera lenses for macro shooting, I wondered about the Q 03 fish-eye, reversed, figuring that its short focal length would produce even higher magnification than nanything I'd yet tried reversing. So, I got a hold of one. I attached it to my KP using a 49mm reverse adapter, a 37-49mm step up ring, and some masking tape around the front barrel of the lens to keep it snug in the step up ring. No extension is necessary to get the image circle to fill the APS-C frame. I don't know what would happen with full frame, though.
The combination isn't going to win any beauty contests...
It works, but it's very tricky. DOF is minimal. Working distance is very small, 9.2mm, the registration distance of the Q. For these test shots I used existing light, live view and self-timer. Getting flash illumination on the subject will be tricky. It's unlikely I would use this in my usual hand-held field shooting style. This set up is going to need a tripod.
Some results.
Horizontal field of view is less than 2mm. Here are a pair of millimeter marks on a ruler:
The knurled focus ring of the 8mm cine lens seen in the shots above:
Printing from a step-up ring box. The box was not quite squiare on; the left hand side of the image is sharper than the right.
and the price tag on it.
Here's a shot of the box with a ruler. The black and orange pattern in the shot above is just to the left of the price tag.
I'll have to try this out on more interesting subjects. I'll post results when I do!
I also want to try the 03 fish-eye as part of a wide angle macro relay system. These rigs tend to use small M12 "board" lenses (usually with larger maximum apertures than the 03 has), intended for smaller sensor CCTV or GoPro style cameras and the like. Watch this space for developments...

This is a shot I created for a DPReview Challenge "Hidden in Plain Tones". This is my best performance in a Challenge - I tied for 3rd out of 49. A little background on the shot.
First of all, I must say some of the credit must go to our beautiful and charming dog.
When I saw this Challenge I knew I wanted to photograph our dog on the sofa.
I waited until she found a comfy spot. Then I set up my lighting gear - two Yongnuo 560 III with umbrellas.
After a few tries I found the settings I liked and got the shot. |

I entered a landscape view of this one in the December contest in hopes of garnering more support for Pentax amateur AP efforts. Outreach for astronomy has become important to me in the last few years and just being able to showcase what is now possible with modest equipment has been very rewarding. I'll be happy to answer any questions as I find them.
Cheers and clear skies!

I came across this totally apocryphal anecdote about Groucho Marx, denied by everyone who was there (including Groucho), but it's too good to let pass or forget.
When he hosted the TV game show "You Bet Your Life" the producers insisted on pre-taping because Groucho's ad-libs weren't always permissible on TV at the time. The guests or contestants commonly were unusual in some way, had done or experienced something unique. There was a woman who had 20 children
Groucho: So you have twenty kids. How did that happen?
Contestant: Well, I really love my husband.
Groucho: Well l really love my cigar but I take it out of my mouth once in a while.
