I would refer you to the wonderful bullfight photographs of Ernst Haas from the early 50s. He was shooting Kodachrome in his Leica and it was ISO 10! He used slow shutter speeds and let it blur and he went for big saturated color. It's not really Sports Photography, it's more art photography. Under low-light with those colorful costumes I think that would work great.

Exactly the kit I'm assembling now for my Eric-rejuvenated K1000 bodies! Only the 135mm is missing. ---------- Post added 04-20-16 at 08:37 AM ---------- My Kodachrome 64 mailers always went to an address on Manor Way in Dallas. I often just drove over there and dropped them off!

I'd carry a small screwdriver to fit the tiny screws, which can loosen from vibration. Also, clean you cameras and lenses every day to keep any kind of grunge from building up.

It's a real time capsule. I'd really like to go back someday. There's a thirty-year wait for a permit to bring a car there, hence the glorified golf carts everywhere.

You don't need to count the frames. When the film advance lever resists the pressure of your thumb, you're out of film. Rewind.

No, Jim, it's not me. Do you mean the steak house guy?

Yes, Moe, that's Santa Catalina. My wife and I went there last June with our son and and his family. I had just received my Pentax gear back from my daughter, who had had them in her desk drawer for nearly thirty years, and I was anxious to try them out. As you can see, they still worked! VS

I'm a new member here, but I've been shooting with my two K1000 cameras and five M lenses since the late seventies, first with Kodachrome 64, then Fujifilm Velvia 50. I'm interested in finding a repair person and in seeing the work of other Pentax shooters. My work can be seen on my flickr. For my (and my wife's) Pentax photos, see the album called "Pentax!"
Regards, Vic Stewart
