Hello all, I'm selling all my Pentax gear due to relocating from Hawaii back to Arizona. I purchased my K-1 and lenses back in May of 2016 and stopped shooting with the K-1 in May of 2017. The K-1 has essentially been untouched for 3.5 years.
Approximately 8300 shutter clicks (I can get exact count).
Included in the gear bundle:
Pentax K-1
Sigma 35mm w/ rear lens cap
Pentax 100mm macro 2.8 w/ hood and rear lens cap
Pentax 28-105mm w/ hood and rear lens cap
Rokinon 20mm
128GB SD + 64GB SD cards
RRS generic bracket
Blackrapid strap (orange)
Includes original K-1 box, battery and battery charger.
Camera + lenses were all purchased new through B&H.
Camera or lenses were never dropped, but the K-1 body does show very visible wear and use. Lenses are in good condition and have no haze, fungus or mold.
Would continue to use this in Arizona but the call of a few specific Nikon Z lenses is too strong and it's time to move on. I will definitely mis the pixel shift and the K-1 + Rokinon for astro!

Ugh! I leave for Monument Valley in a few days with my K-1 and wish I would've known about this lens! I picked up the *excellent* Pentax 28-105 specifically for this trip -- it's definitely sharp enough, and I love the rendering. Just not sure if it will be wide enough for certain tasks. Now I have another lens to obsess over when I return.
So, it sounds like for full FF coverage: look for the Tokina 20-35 with the 77mm element.

Hitting the green button in astrotracer/bulb to dial in a specified time is so helpful. I just bought a Formatt-Hitech filter system and tested it for the first time today. Reaching for a cell phone to set a timer or manually counting is a pain. Settable exposure times in Bulb via green button, please!

No, but I've been ejecting the card properly since I discovered the issue. The one or two times I forget to unmount properly, I put the SD card *back* into my Mac, ejected it properly, then back into the K-1, and then the card is read fine... so no need to re-format.

I purchased a Pentax SMC 50mm f2 from KEH about a month ago and was really disappointed -- center sharpness, even stopped down, was mushy. It's stayed in my bag and will probably serve as a glorified body cap or paperweight in a pinch.
This Rikenon that I just got -- I'm impressed. Even at 1.7, it's acceptably sharp in the center and has nice looking (but cat's eye) bokeh. Only 'gotcha' was that it seems like this thing can NOT close focus at all. Other than that, it seems to have just the right amount of character and still reasonably sharp. I really like it!

That's the problem -- I must be very dense, because I can't figure out how to enable the aperture ring!

Hi all,
I just received a nice surprise, a free Rikenon P 50mm 1.7. Excellent condition. It mounts/unmounts just fine on my K-1... however, I get a constant/flashing "F--" and am unable to use it no matter what I do. I've bought a few older manual lenses from KEH that worked just fine.
Do I need to remove the pin from the lens in order for it to be recognized by the camera? I've tried manually setting the aperture ring to every setting (1.7 thru f16, plus P) and can't get it to shoot no matter what i try.
Any ideas? Thanks!

If i don't properly eject the SD card from my Mac (50% of the time) and then put it back in the K-1, I get the 'card is not formatted' error. PITA. I'll eventually learn my lesson and eject properly. :)

Seriously though, I'd love to see some shots from this. And it looks like the design is different than the Samy, so I would hope the 80% price differential reflects in the IQ. I've gotta admit -- I'm as shallow as they come. It's a fine looking lens. For that price though, it's gotta compete with the likes of Sigma ART, etc.

The full size images of the K-1 + Sigma Art are stunning, re: sharpness. The lack of color blotching at high ISO is impressive as well.
