Tas,
Thanks for the reply. My concern at this point isn't with the focus confirmation of calibration on the manual lenses (although that would be nice) but rather that the lenses can't physically reach focus (they get close to focusing at infinity but never quite make it). Pentax has tried to be helpful--even writing the vendor, B&H, and suggesting that B&H should allow an exception and let me try another camera body. Unfortunately, B&H has said no, and so I'm kind of stuck.
On a positive note, all my autofocus lenses seem to work fine.

My K-1 is great when it works, but that's the rub. I've owned the camera a little less than two months, and I'm finding that it won't work with several of the A-Series lenses. Specifically, three of my go to A-series lenses (Pentax A 24mm/f2.8, Pentax 35-105mm/f3.5, and a new Rokinon 14mm/f2.8) that work well with other my other three Pentax cameras will not work on the K-1 (the lenses never reach focus at infinity). I first noticed this problem when trying to print (the detail was really soft), and then I confirmed it with Live View and 16x magnification (if just using focus confirmation, the camera will say it's in focus when in fact it is not--this becomes very apparent in Live View).
Is anyone else seeing this issue, or did I get a lemon?

On the positive side, for the first time I'm finding my Pentax P-TTL flash to work correctly (AF540FGZ). On my istD and K20D, the flash would severely underexpose in many situations.

I have a 14/2.8 in the K mount. So far, I've been using it on a Sony a7mk2, but I plan to use in on a K-1 soon. Build and image quality are very good, but the markings are off as others have mentioned (at least when used on the Sony via an adapter). The only place really notice this is with astrophotography. If I set the lens to what is marked as infinity, the stars are out of focus. Not a big issue (I'm careful to focus with live view), but one to be aware of (after all, how often do you really focus by lens markings?). As to whether this problem affects lenses other than the 14mm, I don't know.
I don't mind that it's manual focus, but I do wish that the lens was chipped to make shake reduction and post processing easier.
