Hello, all
I have an old Sigma 35-70 f/2.8-4 K-mount lens that I purchased in the last 6 months. I've been using this lens on both my K-50 and my a6000 and have recently noticed that the aperture ring does not move the aperture blades or show any changes on the photo when turning from one aperture to another.
I've seen other topics that refer to manual metering, using the AE-L button to get the lens to stop down when it's needed, but have had no success.
Does anyone have any solid troubleshooting ideas for getting this to work? I'm mainly using it on my A6000 these days for what it's worth.
If it's a mechanical failure, is this something I could open up and diagnose myself? Having spent around $15 on this lens, I don't want to spend a lot of money to get it repaired.

Thank you for the update! I'm interested in the K-3ii body, if it ends up falling through!

Hey all,
I'm new to the forum and a semi-recent first time DSLR and Pentax purchaser (I bought my K-50 back in August and have absolutely fallen in love with it). I'm a music student hoping to pursue a career in music education and enjoy photography as a hobby mostly. I've gotten greatly into astro photography and can't get enough of it. Check out my flickr page to see everything I've taken with my K-50.
I'm mostly here to learn as much as I can about photography and shape my abilities as best I can.
