The K1 and 300mm F4 make for quite a combination.

Thank you, the balloon is tethered to the ground :) Incredible views of the countryside, Angkor is a way off, so the 300mm F4 came in handy!

Thanks all for the compliments, the watermark was because I posted this image on Facebook and didn't want it "stolen". Sharpness due the 300 F4!

Can anyone offer advice how to set a K1 to accept an SMC 500mm F4.5. I've played with the settings and still get a flashing F in the display!

I recently bought a smc 500mm F4.5 from Japan and love it. The lens works well with my K1, but my K3 doesn't recognize it. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've had my K1 for two months and am still blown away by the image quality. This sunset was taken with a 35mm F2 lens and a Cokin P series sunset filter.

My K3 is less than a year old with fever than 1500 shutter count. This weekend I've had issues with the focus, it seems to be slamming a lens into focus, if it focuses at all. I've tried a Sigma 105mm Macro, a Pentax 50mm F 2.8 Macro and a Tamron 70-200 2.8.
I've tried resetting and cleaning the contacts. As it's still under warranty I'm thinking of sending it in for service.
Does anyone have any ideas before I go down that route though.
