The Tamron is an excellent lens; picked it up to go with my K3II, and aside from the odd manual focus switch, it's been fantastic. IQ is a bit soft at f/2.8, but stopped down a bit and it's razor sharp and also much smaller than I thought it would be. Compared it to its Nikon and Canon equivalents when I went to pick it up, and even the sales staff were commenting at how compact it was.

Ah, thank you! Lighting was a pair of old Broncolor monolights, using only the modeling lamps, actually. The rest is all Lightroom magic :)

The Pentax 24-70 is a rebranded Tamron 24-70 as far as I know and as such uses the ultrasonic ring drive found in the Tamron branded lens. Completely different system from the earlier Pentax SDM's.
As as an aside, I own the Pentax 24-70 (paired with a K3II) and it's a fantastic lens! Fast, silent and so far very accurate. Definitely worth investing in!

Been lurking around for a while, decided to actually make an account today, huzzah!
I'm a convert from the Nikon world, and after a very brief affair with Olympus, have found true love in the K3II. Sometimes I just like holding it in my hands. Maybe that's weird. Maybe not :D
