i personally like the design, espescially with vg on,also the k1 design.
its about time pentax reffering the design back to their film slr, since pentax is the first japanese slr and still keeping the same bayonet mount as we know.
all the old lenses fits with no hastle, the m42 taks etc is a bit tricky to fit tho,but no flange.
i think the retro design is celebrating that reason.

but i dont really think interchangeable grip is necessary, tho its a kinda cool because its a new-ish innovation (first on pentax lx). cool for the guys who is interested in making diy grips, probably wood grips..hmmm...the lens mount led on k1 is more usefull, why not put that instead. but then again, maybe KP is intended to be a stylish DSLR, so the interchangeable grip does makes sense

i didnt get much of the splashes on the reflection, kinda hard to fiddle with the angle, havent got any tripod yet,i used cheap lightstand instead,on a tight room.its all i have at the moment.
.heres the unprocesed uncroped jpg bellow...i did clean up the splash spots on the floor with lightroom, desaturating the blue (wall reflection color) and crank up the red yellow orange.the rest of the splash is as it is shot.thx:)

Nope, nothing at all for the tea subject.the setup is just a dark glass as floor..see my facebook link, thats honestly it,as simple as that,im even surprised i got the shot.i put the setup at a corner so i get a lot of bouncing light, using both walls as reflector.the blacks is from the glass floor.the rest is a little touch in lightroom to fiddle with colors, tone and dirty spots..btw there is the unprocessed jpg bellow

splash learning attempt, with yn560iv flash at 1/64 bounced to the background + on camera flash at 1/64 diffused with white cloth .im using smartphone for the wireless trigger,a bit laggy
.lightroom for color & tone correction. this is the best i can process the jpg, i forgot to set raw..after i set raw,all the shot were crap  ... self note "always shoot in raw"

here is the dodgy setup, sorry for the low quality

taken at an underapriciated part of Palembang Indonesia city suburbs, its just a typical indonesian urban planning where the cables placement is not really "planned",well not much is really planned in here, esspecially in the suburbs. actually, i belive there is plans and laws, but not much is really obeying it and the sanctions is unclear and not hard to bend.

the condition is chaotic, but it certainly has its own charms and character.

i bought it  i was kinda broke at that moment, but luckily i had just the right amount. it wasnt really expensive tho,
its just an pentax optio rz10, a green one. she didnt really like it to be honest.she just wanted it for some reason. want it badly
and then when my son grew to be a toddler he knows ammidiately that it is his camera , or maybe we're just imagining things :D
he uses it a lot now, when he sees me with my camera he also take his green point and shoot and follow me around :D

hi there..im Wiwa from indonesia..
actually, i left photography for a long time, and then pentax brought me back again somehow
once upon a time my wife craved an pentax point and shoot whe she was preagnant, she cried in the corner for no good reason :D
then i got intrested on how "underdog" pentax is, how pentax is not following the stream and making new good stuffs that somehow only few people only sees
how cool you guys are, reviewing every bits of pentax in detail
which then lead me to order a k s2 with the orange bottom from a friend in japan as a start. i got it for $470 new with kit lens, for the spec its a GREAT value
its hard to find pentax here in my country, if not overpriced
for some reason i love using old lens , and pentax bodies provides it.
too bad ks2 doesnt have pttl, but im using yongnuo anyway,so its ok i guess

and then i found an old camex 3000 (i belive its a chinese bootleg analog camera from the 80's) with k mount lens, 50mm f1.7, got it for $22 with the camera.
its filled with fungus, i managed to dissasemble it , clean it and chipped a little bit glass on the back of the lens ,,it still works somehow

here's a sample shot i took,at wide open with K s2 body, not that sharp but decent enough for beginners like me ,he's my boy btw :p

im starting all over from begining again, guide me please :o

well thats me,happy to be here :)
