Is it an M42 with an adapter?

I just noticed the NEX adapter pin is set at a wider diameter so it misses the slot on the permanent M42-PK adapter. Photo: => Photography and Vintage Lenses - Figurative Sculptures

The lens arrived today. That adapter is solidly and permanently attached to the lens. => Takumar 135 3.5 - Figurative Sculptures

I cannot imaging how the lens ended up with so much crud inside it though. Stripped it down and cleaned things up and it's as good as new now. Really pleased. $14 spent well I'd say.

Won't lock onto my PK =>NEX adapter but clicks into place nicely on my PK => EOS adapter. Go figure.

Thanks everyone for your input.

Good advice. I can bolt it to my PK — EOS adapter ring to safely test it I suppose.

It's not obvious from the eBay photos so I'll have to wait and see I guess. I can use it in either configuration, so it's good news regardless. I ended up with 135 2.5 too which might be great but that 135 3.5 is such a clean design. :) Thanks for the feedback.

Well that'll work. :) As soon as it arrives I'll confirm. Thanks.

Well now I'm especially anxious to have a look at it. Should be here soon so I'll follow up. Thanks for the insights. I already have one of these lenses but I figured this one looked intriguing plus I gather some vintages are better than others so why not nab it. Thanks again. Cheers.

Seems my links didn't take hold. I'll try again. Not familiar with this process.

Greetings folks. I just nabbed a Tak 135 3.5. The mount is a bit puzzling to me. I'm thinking it must be an M42 with an adapter ring of some sort? Any thoughts? The lens was only 17 dollars so whatever it is I'm okay with it. Cheers.

Thanks PJV. I'm very much a novice but I'll post some pics before long just the same. In the last month or so I've scooped up 15 or 20 old lenses - mostly Pentax - and I've been testing them out. Some surprises in there but the Pentax/Takumars are the real rockstars so far. :)
