Nice to have opportunity to give feedback.
Some surprises to me as mostly landscape/cityscape was the target, but most wanted lens so far is 150-600mm.
One question was missing: "Should Pentax focus more on developing new camera bodies or new lenses?"
The answer to that would have most propably been Lenses 99% - bodies 1% |

Thanks Tas for confirmation about Zeiss + K-1. I checked your albums and the pic of the Newcastle sunset by Grant C. is very pleasing to my eyes.

This is great news. Zeiss 21mm or 18mm on K-1 is a dream come true to fill a gap in (U)WA prime lenses for landscape.
One big question is how does a large diameter Zeiss lens fit to K-1 body.

The dark green seems to be officially FF lenses, lighter green APS-C lenses.
The one and only lens in "2016 or later" category is DA Wide Zoom ~14-28 mm for APS-C. No other lenses for 2016. I hope they can speed up the D FA UWA prime, as this is truly lacking from current setup for K-1.
Sometimes I wonder whom these lens maps are made as Ricoh/Pentax seems to introduce lenses that were ever in the road map.

I asked them and got a quick response: Thank you very much for your e-mail enquiry of 13 May 2016. We regret the trouble that you have with your flash unit 58 AF-1 respectively with your new digital camera Pentax K-1. Unfortunately, this new digital camera Pentax K-1 is not yet available for us for testing purposes. For that reason this type of camera is also not yet mentioned on our homepage. However, we heard also from a few other customers that there are problems with the new Pentax K-1 in P-TTL flash control mode. So we guess that this type of camera works different to the former Pentax digital cameras (K-5, K-5 II, K-3, K-3 II, K-30, K-50 and so on) and this will lead to some trouble. Our development department will try to get a new Pentax K-1 in order to fix the problems as soon as possible. However, we fear this will take some time. Regrettably, at the moment we can’t supply you a fast solution for that problem. However, we will inform you immediately by e-mail when there will be any news concerning this problem. We regret to have no other information for you at the moment and remain With kind regards Wolfgang Becker Technical Support
So, it seems that we 58 AF-1 owners need to wait. At the moment, the Metz in "A" mode works quite well.

Thanks for providing hope that my Metz 58 AF-1 will someday function in P-TTL mode with K-1, now it functions only in A mode. I use D FA 100 macro WR for testing.
I can confirm that you clearly have a clue here. After your post I tested the trick and 58 AF-1 (+/- ext zoom) and K-1 set to APS-C mode work flawlessly in P-TTL mode! That was the good news. The bad news; K-1 in FF mode & 58 AF-1 in extended zoom mode do not function in P-TTL mode. I have the latest firmware installed. There is either no flash at all or flash at full power.
Still, the flash in A mode yields satisfactory results and all Metz finesses are functional, like secondary flash and exposure compensation.
