Can't Focus at wide angle

The focus lamp (green hexagon) stays on steadily during manual focusing at < 35mm. And there is also a problem like below. Autofocus is probably faulty.It's expensive to repair. So I will use it like this.

I moving the zoom ring to 35mm and focus, then taking 18mm and frame again. Or using my favorite lens 35-80mm :)
And I will try your suggestion

Pentax da18-55, Sigma 28-80mm. Can't focus till 35mm. No problem than 35mm. Pentax FA 35-80mm, works correctly in every range.
I use it at the center focus point. It tries to focus but it can't. No problem at Manual focus.

K20D, cannot autofocus at wide angle. It cannot focus between 18-35mm. It works smoothly after 35mm. I tried it with 3 different lenses. Lenses work smoothly on different bodies.
What could be the reason?

I have the same problem on my k20D. My K20D 15k shutter count. But there's no Pentax service around :) The King is dead.
