battery grip is sold pending funds. the FA 50 f/1.4 is in perfect shape; I've taken but just a very few pictures with it. I know of no problems with it.

any of you thinking to make the switch? if so, why? if not, why not? I'm vacillating myself, mostly because I've got such a good collection of Pentax primes and a couple of great Sigmas. Given the status of my failing eyesight, Live View has much to recommend it, though. I'd be most appreciative of your thoughts and recommendations.

FYI, I just got from my Metz 58 :) Called Wednesday,told there was one unit left; ordered immediately; I emailed yesterday about ETA; told it was in process and would ship either Thursday or Friday. Arrived today. Talk about service. Doggone thing showed up even before I got a tracking #. Now that's a company worth doing business with (good reviews on resellerratings and BBB) Now I just have to wade through the manual.

this lens comes in original packaging w/ all papers included; rebates never applied for.

This price is absolutely firm and non-negotiable!! I'm not interested in any trades. (and if you can find the same lens at such and such a place with such and such a rebate with such and such whatever, then by all means get the lens there.) I'm selling because the Tamron 18-250 does what I need it to do.

Hi Walt,
thank you for your reply. Heavy as that damn thing, I eagerly await my monopod, and, yes, will mount the lens to it on Sigma's thoughtfully provided mount.

Just got my Sigma 50-500 "Bigma." and it is!! Attached it to the k100D I got at Christmas. Followed all instructions in the manual for doing so. there is noticeable "play," about 1/16" on a rotational axis between lens and camera body. E.g., if body were a steering wheel, and lens the steering column, if I hold firm on either the body or the lens, I can displace the contact between the two about 1/16" or so.
Have I got a problem here?
