Well, I gotta confess....I did not take in RAW like some of you recommended. T.T
I used my Lastolite white/grey exposure not all but some, and I think the result shows between the one I used before and the ones I did not.
When I go for it again on Tuesday, I'll go with RAW this time, and in the meantime, I'll look into PTLens software.
Thank you all again!

4 feet.... huh... What you said totally make sense! I have to confess some shots have excess ceilings on 'em. Today was my trial day. I say I'll get more practice shots and go for it on Tuesday.
Thank you all again for your 10 cents!

Yes, I'll use just available indoor lights to give warm feeling. I'll also try using white/grey exposure balance card to help myself correct the balance.
Thank you all!

Yes! I forgot to add on the list, a tripod. I have a Digital Concepts 67" 3-section Tripod to add onto the list along with a F remote control. It's pretty inexpensive tripod, but tripod is tripod, isn't it?
Thank you!

Hello to all fellow pentaxians~
I am reaching out to you for your piece of advice on taking indoor shots. I work in the hotel business. Our hotel website needs new pictures of the property, so to save some of the costs I volunteered myself to take pictures with my pentax gear. In return, I have the company invested Sigma 10-20mm for wide angle indoor shots. With that being said, now I need your help for setting my k200d for the best results.
I'll be taking pictures of the guest rooms, meeting spaces, lobby, restaurant and other public areas of the hotel. Here is the list of gears I have for this occasion.
K200d
Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6
Tamron 28-75mm f2.8
Pentax 18-55mm kit lens
Pentax 50mm f1.4
Pentax 360FGZ flash
Lastolite Ezybalance white/grey exposure card
I might have a chance to get some filters and maybe other lens if you really definitely recommend it for indoor shots. I might pull some more strings to have the company invest more lens ;)
Until now (being an absolute newbie to DSLR photography) I used Meseum function in Screen setting for indoor shots, but please let me know what settings will bring out the best results without much editing and also without putting my job on the line! (as a volunteer photographer that is )
Thank you!

Thank you!. I'll definitely check out that sigma 24mm.
I'm not too familiar with this tristate area except where I live and work, but hopefully you are in the 'hood and not hood ;)

Thank you for your recommendation. I'll definitely look into those lenses. In fact, I was looking at the reviews on sigma lens on Amazon. The price looks pretty good at $199.

It's been wonderful ownership experience with Pentax K200D since I bought it with a kit lens back in July 08. Since then I added Tamron 70-300mm (mainly because of its price at around $130 from Amazon) for telephoto/zoom purpose and the infamous FA 50mm f1.4 ($199 at B&H) to my collection along with AF 360 flash.
My wife and I are expecting our first baby in January 09, and that was a reason good enough for my purchase, and we've been more than happy with our first DSLR. I initially ordered Oly E510 with two kit lens mainly because of the price, but shortly after placing order I found K200D on Amazon. At that time Pentax was offering a nice rebate on it, so I jumped on the opportunity, and returned the E510 without even bothering opening the package.
As a novice to DSLR world, I make most of my gear purchases through Amazon, but if you Pentax pros can direct me to something better and reliable along with better pricing, please let me know!
Now FA 50mm is nice, but I'm looking to replace my kit lens with something nice that handles indoors very well. Like I mentioned earlier I will be using it on my newborn baby, I want a piece of glass that handles lowlight indoor shots well without a use of flash. I looked into DA 16-50mm f2.8, but a lot of posts here turned me off as I, too, didn't want to go through the hassle.
I know this is supposed to be an introduction post, but if you can put your two cents in, that will be super!
All in all, I'm glad to be here sharing a great Pentax ownership!

It's been wonderful ownership experience since I picked up my K200D in July 08. My wife and I are expecting a new born in January 09, and that was a reason good enough for me to move onto DSLR world, and I'm more than glad that I picked up Pentax for the occasion.
I initially ordered Oly E510 with two kits from 6ave for a pretty good price, but shortly after the order I found this gem. I ordered the Pentax and returned E510. My gut feeling said Pentax was it, and I'm glad I stuck with it.
Ever since the purchase of the camera with kit lens, I purchased Tamron 70-300mm (because it is quite inexpensive at around $130) and bought the infamous FA 50mm F/1.4. I picked up a sling bag from Sam's Club for a pretty good price, but most of my gears are ordered from Amazon. I'll probably add a decent tripod and a good lens for indoor use.
Now FA 50mm is nice, but I'm looking into a better piece of glass for indoor use. I've been checking the posts and threads on DA 16-50mm F/2.8, but I'm not sure if I want to take a chance and go through the hassle like a lot of the posts said. I know this is introduction thread, but if you Pentax pros can direct me to the right direction for a really good piece of lens to shoot for my first child, that will be super!
All in all, Pentax became one of my best sidekicks!
