This challenge forced me to think about what a "wide open space" is.
For me, a wide open space is clearly delimited so in one way or the other it is bordered by something.
That makes it different from a wide view or just a void.

In the direct neighbourhood of my village there are some nice green farmlands.
I found one where the entry to the farmland was blocked by a simple wire spanning between two poles.
One of the poles and part of the wire is found in the foreground of the image.

The wideness of the open space is visualised by the line of trees along the road in the far end of the picture.

Early december the birthday of Sinterklaas (Saint Nicholas) is celebrated in the Netherlands.
Sinterklaas arrives late November by boat from Spain according to the legend.
He is accompanied by a troop of helpers and usually rides a white horse.
The day before his birthday (december 5th) he gives presents to the young children.
On december 6th, his birthday, he has left the country.
As you see, there are quite some similarities with Santa Claus.

In my home town, Sinterklaas always pays a visit to the local elementary schools a few days before he leaves the country.
Most of the time without his horse. This year he was riding a scoot mobile, not wearing his traditional head piece.

I do not think the Skylum business model is all that bad.
Compare it with the subscription model that Adobe uses where you are guaranteed to pay periodically, hoping that Adobe will deliver.

Having bought Luminar from the 2018 version onwards I consider the various products "yearly updates" more than anything else.
Luminar 4 and Luminar AI differ a lot and it seems that the upcoming Luminar Neo is set to unite the feature sets. Something I am looking forward to.
Needless to say I did pre-order ;)

This plant in our backyard was having a second blooming period in June.
The large number of flowers resembled a waterfall with some of the flowers already in decay and others in their full beauty.
I tried to capture the waterfall effect.
