The latest acquisition, an Asahi Pentax K2 body (the lens is already mine). The battery compartment needed a good clean, no corrosion but dirty, otherwise in decent working order. Asahi Pentax K2 by Bill Smith, on Flickr

The Lenny Kravitz finish is an inside joke with some photography buddies to referenced heavily brassed black paint bodies. Leica had a pre-distressed black paint M240 and Summicron lens called the Lenny Kravitz edition a few years back and they, of course, listed it for a stupid amount of money. ---------- Post added 05-28-18 at 10:58 AM ----------
I picked up the nicer of the K2 bodies Mighty Mike had. Everything seems ok so far.

Did some re-arranging in the K-mount department, sold off my black KX in the Lenny Kravitz finish along with the ME Super (great camera but the ergonomics weren't for me) a few weeks ago. Today at the bi-annual Photo Historical Society of Canada "The Big One" camera fair, I stopped by Michael Fast's table (Mighty Mike) and picked up one of the K2's he had. Ok, I'm dealing with camera GAS at the moment, I'm curious in the K2, I already own a pair of KX's, both amazing cameras. The big question with the K2 aside from a different shutter and ergonomics which is obvious, how reliable is the camera's electronics?

I have a pair of KX's (one chrome, one black), if you have the budget grab one of those, it's a K1000 with all the bells and whistles. Now having read through this thread, I'm trying to keep my camera GAS in check. Do I really need a K1000, ok a KM......
