Selling my excellent condition m240 and Leicatime case.
I would also trade it for a Pentax K1 + $1500!
Camera has zero scuffs or brassing marks. It's pristine. I would say less than 10k on the shutter. Comes with caps, box, paperwork, and an extra battery.
The Leicatime case set is from Luigi and includes the half case, the strap, and a battery pouch.

Thank you very much. I spent a lot of time sourcing these lenses, looking for the best copies, and I paid for it via a Japanese shop I go to from time to time. The power zoom is just a joy to use on both and very unique.
I'm sad to see them go. Maybe one day, when my life calms back down, I can get back together a modest pentax collection. But not for the start of this year.

Making the jump to mirrorless after a few years with my K3 and K1. Keeping the K3 as a fun crop body, but selling the majority of my collection.

Yeah, I wish I had someone in Cali with experience with this.
Buying some alchohol after work today. Rubbing alchohol? Do I just let it drip into the front element screw? Is there a special way to apply it?

Didn't give up, just burned out. Don't know what I'm going to do with it. I need a different screwdriver to get a better grip on those under-the-rubber screws.

Don't have either on hand, sadly. I'll just give it another go in a few minutes. I'm feeling pretty defeated right now, since I really, really don't want to damage the lens and turning it is turning the entire barrel.
I wonder if there are grub screws behind the flared lens lip? I don't know how to get that thing to drop like I've seen other people do, though.

Update: found out what was holding it all up - two screws underneath the grip.
Unfortunately, they were stuck just as tight and I stripped one. RIP lens.

Failure on trying to repair this thing. I can't even get the front element cap unstuck. Stopped before I stripped it out too badly. I put some serious torque into trying to get this thing off, too.
Anyone know if there's a catch to this lens? I couldn't find any guides or manuals on it, so I'm just going by other pentax lens take apart - use a spanning wrench on the grey ring and turn counter-clockwise.
You can see where the fluid dripped onto the back of the element (and some smudges from when I took off my gloves to give it more torque). Other than that I love the optics on this lens and I don't want to wreck it. For the life of me I can't get it off.

So can I access the first few elements from the top? I've got it unstuck to a point where I can live with it; I just need to clean most of the glass.
Tools and things come on Saturday. I'll probably do all this either tomorrow night or Sunday. We'll see how it goes.

Too late. I put too much in. It freed it up nicely, but now I've got to clean the front element.
Time for my first lens repair! One one of the most complicated manual zooms pentax made!
In the tiny off-chance it doesn't completely go horrible, I'll make a lens dissasembly post my trama.
