Is anyone else reading this stuff saying why on earth would anyone want a 100mp camera much less a 150mp camera? When have any of you ever needed even 50mp? 36mp? Probably incredibly rarely if ever.
I'm just waiting for someone to make a nice new bsi medium format sensor that's like 36mp. Kind of an a7s for medium format. Great low light performance, super low noise. Nobody needs all those mega pixels.

I need fast modern primes. The old limiteds are cool and all, but they just don't hold up to modern glass.

At this point I'd settle for just about anything.
Pretty annoyed that they are putting out silly "silver edition" K1s but haven't released any new full frame lenses...

Like new, I have taken maybe 100 pictures with it. It works great I just don't use it very often.
I am looking to buy a 75-200mm lens for my K-1 so I would be open to a trade if you have one to move.

I have been having the same issues. Lightroom does not like K1 colors. I've tried Huelight and made my own profiles which is an improvement but yellows/greens just always seem a little off.

Are you in Bulb mode? Not sure what to tell you sadly. Just make sure you are in Bulb mode, astrotracer is turned on, and the GPS is properly calibrated. I always do the 2 second delay on the shutter as well to prevent any shake from touching the camera.

When using the crop mode on the K1 do you get the depth of field of a full frame sensor or of a crop sensor at the same aperture?

I don't have any telephoto lenses for this K1, using it for pretty much only landscape stuff.

It seems to work pretty well. The longest exposure I did was 40 seconds, next time out I'll try to do a longer exposure just to test the limits.

Man you are wasting your time trying to reason with some of these folks. There is some creepy Pentax cult worship thing going on. You wrote a generally very positive (and fair, the autofocus really isn't as good as other systems) review (as did Nothrup), but ANY negative thing just does not compute for some reason.
It's a camera, not a religion...

Thanks, I'm sure it does. I'd just prefer to not have to change my workflow and learn new software for one particular file type you know? I'm new to Pentax.
