Hi Ira,
How does Vivitar 135 2.8 perform compared to Tak 135 3.5?
Also I am planning to get the Vivitar 28mm 2.8? How is it? Is it worth going for a 28mm or 24mm? Thanks

There is a posting of Vivitar 200 3.5 with M42 mount on ebay. So I guess they did make it sometime.

yes I realized that. After I changed the setting, the blinking stopped and yes F-- still shows, but I can take pics now. As you said it can't communicate aperture setting to the body. Thanks for the input.

Thanks to all for the input. I am keeping an eye for the 200mms. Looks like there are not many Taks f3.5 for sale. Most of the ones for sale are f4. I will post details of my purchase once I find the lens.

Thanks rekordboy...It works!. As you mentioned, I permitted use of aperture ring in my custom settings. Did not know about that setting.

hello,
I am new to third part lenses as well as prime lenses. I have a K200 model of Pentax and recently started experimenting with primes. I bought a auto sears 135mm f2.8 with pk mount on ebay. I mount it on my K200 and it doesn't work :(. When I switch on my camera in manual mode, looks like the camera can not recognize the f number. The F number on my display shows F-- and keeps blinking. Am I missing something :confused:?. How do I get this lens to work?
Appreciate greatly any help.

Hello all,
This is Srivatsa from San Jose, USA. I got my Pentax K200 with 18-250mm lens few months back and have been visiting this forum for couple of months now to get my questions answered.
This is a great forum and I would like to thank all members who take so some time out of their usual busy schedule to answers questions posed by other members. I am a amateur photographer. Still a lot to learn for me and this forum has been helping me so far. Keep up the good work.
