I bought the K70 because when you compare it to the Nikon 5500 it had so many more features. it was a better value for the money imho. I didn't realize there weren't a lot of people using Pentax. In the film days it was a very popular camera.

I went to a photography class at a local camera store. This store happens to be a Pentax Dealer. The instructor said I was the only person to ever take that class with a Pentax. Are Pentax users that rare?

I am new to DSLR camera's. Thanks for the help everyone.
Lightroom doesn't seem to be that straight foward. Do you need Lightroom if you have mac photos. I heard Lightroom is better.
I used film SLRs in the past like the K1000, just trying to get used to the new camera (K-70).

How long does it normally take Adobe to add raw files for a new camera to be able to be imported into Lightroom? I want to be able to edit .pef files in Adobe lightroom without having to convert the files to .dng.
I had a chat with Adobe and they said it is when Pentax sends them the file info and it will be included in the next update.
The raw files also cannot be seen in Mac Photos.
