Thanks for the advice! I got the M version. I shot with it today, but I need to get the film back so I can see how my shots turned out.

Hello everyone,

I was wondering what are some good prime lenses that I could get for my Pentax film cameras? I just picked up the 50mm f/2 on eBay for a good price and it looks like it's brand new! However, I think I should have looked into it a bit more because I see there is also a 1.7 and 1.4 out there and those are probably better. I just want some sharp primes where I can also get some real shallow dof. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Dale. I'm 33 years old and I live in Pennsylvania. I really thought it might helpful to join this forum. I shoot Canon digital mostly, but have just started getting into shooting film. I am shooting with a Pentax P3n at the moment and I have an MX on the way! Very excited for that to arrive! Also, I have a few different film stocks that I am going to try out. I recently shot 2 rolls while I was down at the Jersey shore and I really enjoy it! I like how film makes you slow down and think more carefully about composition before pressing the shutter. It's very easy to get trigger happy with digital, so I hope that by shooting film, these habits will carry over to my digital shooting. Also, once I found out the cost of developing those 2 rolls, that makes me want to be even more careful about my shots!
