no ties allowed

The Cubs must clinch a wild-card spot outright. That’s because they lose the tiebreaker to the Diamondbacks (1-6), Reds (6-7) and Marlins (2-4).

3 games in Atlanta

3 games in Milwaukee

Huff’n Puff Hot Air Ballon Rally Topeka KS September 8-10

Doors open at 5 p.m. Balloons are scheduled to take off four times this weekend, at about 6 p.m. Friday, 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, and 7 a.m. Sunday. Exact launch times will vary or may even be canceled, since pilots have to wait for wind to be lower than 8 to 10 mph. A representative from the National Weather Service's Topeka office will help coordinate with the club to ensure safe balloon flying.

Where: Balloons will take off from the Mount Hope Balloon Field at the corner of S.W. Huntoon and Fairlawn Road. Parking is available on site by entering through the gates on either road.

What to bring: BYOC (bring your own chair — or blanket) to sit along the open field and see the balloon launches. The free event will feature food vendors, although attendees may bring in their own nonalcoholic beverages. The club asks that attendees leave any drones, weapons and pets at home.

Unfortunately other things prevent my attending

The National Wallace Monument (generally known as the Wallace Monument) is a 67 metre tower on the shoulder of the Abbey Craig, a hilltop overlooking Stirling in Scotland.[1] It commemorates Sir William Wallace, a 13th- and 14th-century Scottish hero.[2]

thoughts

I only used the K 3 III +

HD Pentax-DA 55-300mm F4.5-6.3 ED PLM WR RE

for the Military Tattoo and the Highland Games

and the SMC Pentax-FA 31mm F1.8 AL Limited for the 3 day Isle of Skye trip

why - 55 -300 I wanted the length of the telephoto for tattoo and highland games, I sat in a reserved area and did not move

problem not wide enough especially for the tattoo

limited to what I could walk into Tattoo with and would not have had time to switch lenses

as anticipated, the spot lights and movement caused problems.

_________________

why 31mm I wanted f1.8 because I was preparing for " snap shots " from the van as we travelled along the road ways

limited to what I could take on van

I definitely not a landscape photographer

used TAV

pm me if you want more information

my son and I bought

we have Scottish heritage: Clan MacQuarrie through my maternal grandfather ( McCrory ) and have traced his family to pre Civil War Ohio

My younger brothers have kilts and my youngest brother wears his all the time

I discovered Kilts - Bagpipes | J. Higgins, Ltd. which is located about 70 miles east of me

they did the measurements, helped select the tartan - MacQuarrie Modern ordered the material from Scotland and made the outfits

I got kilts, Prince Charlie jacket and waistcoat, a Argyle Jacket and waistcoat and other stuff from them.

I got my balmoral boots from a different source

Not too many people shoot them anymore, as no one's making them at this point... but the CCD sensor cameras have a loyal following (some would say obsession) from its fans (crazy? luddites?).
