To be clear - on the MEF and the Program A (I have one of those as well) you just need to unscrew the two tiny screws under the mirror damper and that's it. No disassembly of the top cover is required. Unfortunately on the Me Super, Me and probably the MG this is not the case as there are no screws.

No, it is totally removable - I pulled it out yesterday to inspect it. You have to unscrew two small screws and the whole assembly comes off. Unfortunately there are no camera repair people left in my country to speak of. They guy I sent my Me Super to returned it more broken than it initially was :mad: I'll have to do it myself but like i said, I'd rather just replace it if it's compatible.

Does anyone know if the focusing screen of the MEF is interchangeable with the one of the MX? I got a MEF yesterday for the equivalent of 25 euro and it's great apart from the black gunk on the focusing screen. I'll try to clean it up but I would much prefer if I could replace it with a new one but the only ones I can find are for the MX/LX.
