I use a similar set up when traveling. My film camera is ME Super, and my MFT is a GX85.
For the ME Super, I use a K 50 1.2 or a K 35 3.5. I prefer the K series for their heavier weight and chunky focus ring.
GX85 will have a Olympus 25mm 1.8 or Olympus 17mm 1.8. (50 and 35 in FF).
Up to your focal preference! But I tend to lean toward the Olympus 25 and K 50 1.2, my eye gravitates to seeing 50mm all the time.

With my KP, I try to give reason NOT bring my FA 31 with me anywhere I go. But end up taking it cause I'm addicted.

Oho, I originally had the DA 40 and used that a lot too. I loved the contrast and sharpness, but the FA 43 definitely replaced it. If you think you really enjoy the 40 on APS-C, then 43 would elevate that experience! In my opinion, the FA 43 also looks very sexy with it's all metal build, and perfectly colored surrounding text.

I own an FA 43. For general walk-around photography on APS-C, I find it a bit odd. The focal length is not quite wide to nail that "normal" look, and not quite long to nail that portrait DoF. The f1.9 definitely helps with the 3D effect, and the sharpness and contrast are awesome for the lens, but the framing is a bit off for general purpose.
I also own a K50 f1.2 and a K55 f2 (not the DA* 55), and I find that focal length just perfect for portrait photography and tighter framed landscapes or architecture. The DA* 55 you're looking at is definitely larger than the FA 43, so get ready for some stares when walking around, but I've always been amazed by other's results. I tend to grab my 50mm lenses on APS-C more often that 43 nowadays. I use the FA 43 for my film cameras though!
They're definitely two different purposes for me, but great lenses. If looking for a jack-of-all-trades lens on APS-C, the FA 31 (or similar focal length) is where it's at. It's my go-to "not sure what I'll be shooting but I want good results" lens. Good luck!
