Yes indeed. Looks like it must have just had a bath.

Spectacular. Checked them out on flickr and the detail is amazing.

So glad you got to enjoy it. There certainly is amazing birdlife. That park is probably my favourite place on Earth.

Took this there last year. Not on Pentax gear though, I'm afraid.

The OM4s with the battery leakages must have been a disaster for the system.

I have a Nikon Ftn, but I admit I don't use it much. The viewfinder is really pokey and dark compared to my Pentax MX. It's also much bulkier and less refined. I can highly recommend a Pentax MX if you're enjoying the KX. They're cheap enough just to try out. And the viewfinder is perhaps the biggest for any SLR (.95 magnification with 97% coverage). It's really tiny, but super-capable.

In reality there's practically none. I almost always add a fair bit of vignette as per Ansel's recommendations.

Yeah. I read that a lot of the original OM4s just eat batteries continually. Luckily not all of them do, and this one definitely does not seem to be one of them. It's pretty light on batteries. But it does have some other weird issues. It's also pretty heavy for its size compared to a mechanical camera.

Ah. I remembered I also have this 6x7 Provia 100F pic of ye clichéd long exposure stream image taken with the 45mm. This was in the Drakensberg mountains in South Africa.

I'm new to posting here. Enjoying the beautiful images on this thread. Didn't see much done with the 45mm 67 lens so I thought you might find this a bit interesting.

Mokala National Park, South Africa (the park is actually named after this tree which is called a Camelthorn in English). Shot on Provia 100F

I can confirm that the 400edif is as superb as people say. But just bear in mind that it's one beast of a lens. You won't be hand-holding it, let's just say. If you do get one I'd love to see images with it taken on the big fujifilm sensor.

Hey enjoy. One of the biggest surprises to a new 67 user is just how utterly, magically fantastic the 105 f2.4 is. I've got a nice range of 67 lenses. But that 'normal' lens isn't normal. It's extraordinary. The bokeh is so beautiful that you can often recognise the lens straight away when you see an image made with it.

I laughed out loud at the OM4ti being called a horror box. If my intro is approved, you'll see I posted a pic of my old MX along with the OM4 I got for my partner. But I've already been thinking maybe it was a mistake and I've been contemplating replacing it with an OM1 when the opportunity presents. I feel like she'd enjoy shooting the OM1 far more.

Thought I'd pop in an introduction. I live in Cape Town South Africa. I had a K1000 from when I was about 12 and inherited my dad's MX in 1993, I think, after he'd moved to his first Nikon.

I use a bunch of different cameras, but I recently dusted off the MX which I've taken all over the world with me. It's hard to say exactly how attached I am to the old girl. I did some reading and discovered that it has one of the biggest viewfinders of any SLR (.95 magnification with 97% coverage). It really is a pure pleasure to use. Especially because it's also one of the smallest slrs ever made.

I also have a beat-up 67 which is just as easy and lovely to use. I've been neglecting it too. But I'm going to take it with the 400mm and 1.4x extender to the Kruger National Park over xmas and try get some wildlife images on Tri-X. Super lucky to have that lens. A late friend of my old man's sold it to him really cheap because he'd stopped shooting 6x7.

Oh yes. I also have a 645N I use sometimes. But although it's a brilliant camera I just adore the simplicity and huge viewfinder of the 67.

That's an OM4 I got for my partner to document her life on film sets and my original MX with a 28mm f3.5. Digitally I'm moving towards Fujifilm now because I realised how much I miss carrying a tiny, discreet camera. So I picked up an XE1 cheap. Still waiting to get an 18mm lens for it though.

For fun, here's pic I took in Kgalagadi National Park a good few years ago on the 67 with the 400mm.
