I also turn my cell camera sideways for a horizontal orientation. Based on his hand gestures during the video I believe I'll be turning the new camera vertical for a horizontal orientation.

The half frame and "guess focus" are very appealing to me as I think it creates an opportunity to be more creative and experiment. And film photography in general is more hands on than digital so I'm all in on getting "handsy" with a new camera.

If you listen to the description (captioning) and watch his mannerisms it appears this might be a pretty robust camera with SLR like styling combined with some modern electronics. Those photos he quickly flashed from the actual camera looked pretty good.

Pentax Optio P80 using the in-camera monochrome filter and final adjustments in Lightroom. This is a water spigot that dates to the construction of the Vancouver WA train depot which was built in 1908.

I used a Pentax Optio P80 for this shot. After taking the image I used the in-camera filter to apply the sepia filter. Then in Lightroom I adjusted the sky for a deeper color tone and made the rest of the image monochrome. BNSF Vancouver Terminal, Vancouver, WA.

I'm debating leveraging the higher price of the K3iii to convince my wife I should get the K1ii since it's less expensive and FF. Then I'd circle back in a year and make a play for the K3iii.
