It's not stuck, though. It's actually just freely rotating.

Hello again forum! I managed to find myself a Spotmatic F on eBay (in good condition) there is one issue, however, where the counter of exposures isn't working properly. So I can't tell how many photos I've taken, nor when I'm loading the film when the counter hits zero(to know I loaded correctly) is there any tips for this? Or should I just live with a few missed exposures?

Yeah, the Spotmatic F.

I'm a Black and White photographer, though, so I don't think I'd need to worry much about red eye. :)

Yeah, it's the Spotmatic I. It would've been great if it was actually functioning. I think the lens is more interesting than the actual camera since it's a Takumar SMC F1.4 50mm, though.

The shutter keeps randomly locking, and the meter makes it lock every time I slide it up. So I think I should buy a fully functioning Spotmatic F, since I'm already at it.

You are right indeed. When I look at the top it just says 'SP' - no 'F'

Guess I'm back to E-bay, then!

On a positive note, I did get an Asahi Pentax SMC Takumar F1.4 50mm lens in perfect condition with it. It's something!

I + come... Walking and typing without proof reading is dangerous. Haha.

I also think there's an issue with my metering. If I slide the meter thing up, my shutter gets stuck.

So, I just recently bought myself a spotmatic F. I'm new to old film cameras, so I'm not very familiar with them. I just wonder if it's possible to connect a modern flash through the x and Fp ports. If not, would I need to get an older flash meant for the camera type? Thank you!
