My 6,000th shot with the K1...the only thing remarkable about it is...it isn't a squirrel!

K-1 and Tamron 90 macro
100 ISO, ƒ8, AV (1/60-1/160s)
Just when I think it might be the last one of the year, we get a -30ēC morning in March. We usually have a day sitting out drinking beer on the porch by March 8-10th. Not this year.
Standing back a bit for the window scene...

I guess we could hijack this thread and make it a cooking show? Stranger things have happened on PForums!
A bird in the bush is worth two on a fence...but you take what you can get.:D IMGP6010-800-K1 by James Williams, on Flickr BTW- The K 1 does reds better than any prior Pentax I have used. They are not easy to shoot, you have to be very careful of exposure...they blow out so easily. :( "My Mommy says it is time for me to get a jock strap.....maybe she is right???" Not a great exposure, I think his eye is in focus, and not much else... but I just had to laugh at the expression this tiny little guy was throwing me.

I like it! Nice blue tones in that shot!:) Sort of a "Public Notice" post this morning.....Squirrels are keeping an eye out for new posters in their favorite thread...:) Got Squirrel Shots? - Page 89 - PentaxForums.com
If you have any squirrel shots,or get any, they would love to see you post them there. Any squirrels, any camera, but they would love to see more K1 shots! :D:D
What's in it for you? The more squirrels there, the less squirrels here......now that's pretty good deal! "See any squirrels? Post them in the Squirrel Thread, we will aprreciate every one!" IMGP2645-800-K1 by James Williams, on Flickr

You can fool me FS:(...but not the squirrels, they were on it right away!:D Lovely!:)
#1...I like it, and the colors are superb! :)
#2 is just perfect!:):) You need to give me that lens since you hardly use it.....After all, squirrels say "That FS must sure have some nice lenses to get fine such shots!"
#3 ...not sure just what that might be, since you leave us guessing?...but I can tell you for certain my raccoons would give it a go! "Lookt at that meal...another FS gourmet delight" IMGP2436-800-K1 by James Williams, on Flickr

Female bighorn sheep*. Had to focus the DA300 manually in Utah because AF quit the first time I put it on the camera. Then after being home a couple weeks and thinking about sending it for repair, it just started working again - annoying, confusing, implanting apprehensions.
*Super careless and thoughtless with the original post. Name of the animal corrected. Witless me.

Lots of things can be too sharp...there seems to be an obsession with sharpness that surpasses the value of a shot with some worth to the viewer other than just a bunch of razer sharp pixels? So far I have never heard Old Granny say....."WOW! Look at those razor sharp pixels!" Some of my favorite shots of other shooters are not sharp at all, but the shots are wonderful, they have mood, they have charm, they have laughter....they have value!:D
Some shots are just plain corny.....:) "I'm sharp enough for my Mommy!" IMGP5914-800-K1 by James Williams, on Flickr
Moon shots should be sharp so the 3 or 4 people in the entire world that have never seen one will be amazed.:D For those like me, I saw enough moon shots by age 3.
